My last name is made up, and I can find a Lord of the Rings quote for every situation. It should come as no surprise, then, that I’m an agented fantasy author hoping to one day be a published author. I’m also hoping that one day my cats will allow me unfettered access to my keyboard. Hey, a girl can dream.
I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, in a home full of sassy women and cats. I did a degree in English Literature at the University of West Indies and quickly realised that I had no idea what to do with it. So I went to France and taught English. Do not ask me to speak French, my French is now dead.
In 2024, I was one of five Bocas Breakthrough Fellows for early career writers in the Caribbean.
My travels around Europe, the folklore and strange superstitions of the Caribbean, stairs, and my cats often inspire my writing.
Feel free to check out some of the flash fiction and thoughts about writing, publishing, and maybe travel that pop into my brain.
